چکیده

Context: Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) infection is a major cause of chronic cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. Approximately 30% infected persons with HCV spontaneously clear the viral infection; but, some remaining patients develop HCV. Studies show that HLA molecules play an important role in outcome by influencing efficiency antiviral immune response to infection. It now known polymorphisms loci are associated susceptibility or clearance. The purpose present study was systematically review studies reported association class II alleles (HLA-DQ HLA-DR) Evidence Acquisition: were identified searching electronic databases, including PubMed Scopus. A total 12,265 relevant search, which 19 eligible papers meta-analyzed for between Results: Subjects carrying HLA-DQB1*0301, HLA-DQB1*0501, HLA-DRB1*1303, HLA-DRB1*1201, HLA-DRB1*0401, HLA-DRB1*0101, HLA-DRB1*1101 significantly higher spontaneous clearance Conclusions: data from current confirm several HLA-DQ HLA-DR correlated Identifying these may contribute better understanding mechanisms persistence.

Association between HLA-Class I and HLA-Class II Alleles and Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Infection in Iraqi Patients from Baghdad City

Background: Pulmonary tuberculosis (PT) is one of the endemic diseases in Iraq, and among the suggested predisposing factors are alleles of the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) system. We sought to investigate the association between HLA-class I (A and B) and -class II (DR and DQ) alleles in a sample of PT Iraqi patients. Methods: lymphocytes of 105 PT patients and 40 controls were phenotyped for H...

Association between Hepatitis B Virus Infection Outcome and HLA-A and DRB1 Genotyping in North Part of Iran

Background and Objective: The outcome of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection may be influenced by host factors like Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA). We have investigated HLA-A and DRB1 alleles in patients with persistent hepatitis B infection compared to subjects who had spontaneously recovered from HBV infection. To complete the findings of this study we performed another survey in certain HLA ...

Investigation of Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) Class I and II Alleles and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) Genotypes in Patients Infected with HCV

Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is a major public health problem with more than 130-180 million people infected worldwide. Several studies in different populations have reported the association of human leukocyte antigen (HLA) genotypes, and HCV viral load, and genotypes. The aim of this study was to investigate a possible association between HLA class I and II alleles in HCV-infected patients and heal...

Association between HLA Class I and Class II Alleles and the Outcome of West Nile Virus Infection: An Exploratory Study

BACKGROUND West Nile virus (WNV) infection is asymptomatic in most individuals, with a minority developing symptoms ranging from WNV fever to serious neuroinvasive disease. This study investigated the impact of host HLA on the outcome of WNV disease. METHODS A cohort of 210 non-Hispanic mostly white WNV(+) subjects from Canada and the U.S. were typed for HLA-A, B, C, DP, DQ, and DR. The study...
